Certified Personal Trainer
Karen is a certified personal trainer through American Fitness Professionals and Associates. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts and is CPR certified by the American Red Cross.
Beginning her career in the health industry, Karen was owner and operator of a medical transcription service specializing in physical therapy and rehabilitation facilities. Although working on the administrative level, she saw how the body could heal through proper exercise, movement and rehabilitation techniques. This experience reinforced her belief in the power of a healthy and active lifestyle,
Joining Perfection Fitness in 2004 as office manager, Karen quickly knew that her passion was with clients on the gym floor and not behind a desk. After completing her certification, she joined the training team in 2009. “Grateful describes my feeling of being a trainer. Although I aspire to change the lives of my clients for the better, they continue to inspire me to be a better person as well,”
Karen specializes in weight management, lifestyle management, strength and conditioning, circuit training and small group training. She has years of experience working with men and women of all fitness levels, physical capabilities and age groups.
Aware that all bodies are unique, Karen’s programs are designed on an individual basis. She prides herself on creating workouts that are creative and ever-changing while being challenging, effective and fun. Her sessions target your muscles using a variety of techniques including free weights, body bars, medicine balls, TRX bands, body weight, balance balls and boards, boxing gloves and much more. Keeping current on fitness trends and education, Karen continues to attend numerous fitness conferences and classes,
